Ghosts of Christmas Past in the Pascack Valley of New Jersey
Hello everyone
Andrea Swiedler had a great idea the other day. She did a post about Christmases past which inspired me to do this post...
As the holidays are fast approaching the final few days, it's time to reflect on past Holidays.
Below are some pics I found of my days in Hillsdale and the tradtions we had at this time of the year.
Times that we have spent with family and friends some of whom are no longer with us sadly.
This was shot in 1957 and shows our front window with our big Swedish Star in the window.
And from the inside of our living room with my brother and sister... I'm the little guy in there on the floor with the trumpet.....
Being that my Mother is Swedish she would dress me up like a Laplander in my very own warm Laplander suit from Sweden....
Seems like the snowfall was much deeper back then but then again I was a bit smaller so .... ummm you do the math...
Hoping and wishing you all a very Happy and Safe Holiday Season no matter what Holiday you celebrate at this time of the year.
It's a joyous time to be alive.
Thanks for reading.
