It's time to start tracking Santa!

Santa flying over treesI like to show this one to my kids every year.  It's time to track Santa on his Christmas delivery route.  In what has been a tradition for more than 50 years NORAD tracks Santa on his nighttime journey from the North Pole.

If you don't know the history behind NORAD tracking his flight you should have a read.  It seems it all started over a misprint in a Sears Roebuck & Co. advertisement prompting kids to call a number to talk with Santa.

They have been tracking Santa's Christmas Eve flight since 1955.

Last year was the first year that nobody in my family bought into the tracker. I guess that was the end of youth and innocence. Now it's all about money and video games.
