The Reason for the Celebration
The Reason for the Season - CHRISTMAS
Your precious son has been given to us

Holy Family

"For God so loved that world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever beliefeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.".

That is the gift symbolized in the presents we wrap each holiday season. That is the purpose of the celebration we call Christmas. Christmas is the recognition of God's plan. It is the acknowledgement of Jesus the Christ, the First Born of the Father. And it is a remembrance of our acceptance of Jesus Christ

"What is Christmas?

It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace." -- Agnes M. Pharo

The memories that are created within each family is cherished in our hearts and minds forever. I do miss the Christmas mornings when my sons would be so excited and smiling from ear to ear because Santa Claus had come to their home.

If you are a parent of children, enjoy all their excitement, their giggles, their screams of jubilation, I so miss those days and wish I could be with my grandsons as they open their gifts.

The next best thing to being there is what their Daddy said to me on Christmas eve. "Have your Skype on and be ready with your webcam. The boys will probably be getting up at 7:30ish. I will set my webcam so you can see Nolan and Braydon in all their excitement opening their gifts and seeing what Santa brought them.

"Christmas--that magic blanket that wraps itself about us, that something so intangible that it is like a fragrance. It may weave a spell of nostalgia. Christmas may be a day of feasting, or of prayer, but always it will be a day of remembrance--a day in which we think of everything we have ever loved." -- Augusta E. Rundel

It  “is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).
If we want more joy at Christmas, it’s amazingly simple.
All we have to do is give more joy to others.

Jesus said, “Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return” (Luke 6:38).

LET US REMEMBER

This truth applies all year long, not just one day of the year on Christmas Day, December 25th

"Remember, if Christmas isn't found in your heart, you won't find it under a tree." -- Charlotte Carpenter

Happy Holidays

"Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas." -- Calvin Coolidge
