Pinebluff, NC, located at the southern end of Moore County. The town has quite a bit of history. It was originally developed in the late 1800's and early 1900's as a winter resort for northerners by one of the founders of Southern Pines. Though there was considerable resort (hotels) and residential growth in its early years, the town never became what its original founders envisioned. Today, it remains a small town of approximately 1,300 residents. Pinebluff measures about 2.5 square miles. There has been a fair amount of new construction in Pinebluff in recent years.
