Egret Landing in Jupiter Florida has a soccer game every holiday the last few years or so. The Christmas 2009 version just finished up. The Christmas 2009 Father Son Football game will be held at 10 tomorrow. One of the reasons my wife and I chose to live in Egret Landing in Jupiter Florida was that we could see right away it was a great place to continue raising our two sons. It has proved to be every thing we had thought and more. The soccer game has grown to include people from all over the world including France and Canada, as family members bring their holiday visitors, kids and parents, over to play in the game.
This year the Egret Landing parents beat the Egret Landing kids by a few goals but I assure the score is the last thing anyone cares about. It is just a great time, running around in the beautiful weather, as we try to work off some of the holiday meals we have eaten or are about to consume. It really is about sharing the short time we have together with our children before they are too old to want to play with us or we are too old to keep up with them. They are getting bigger and stronger with each passing season.
