Ways to generate good will

Do you give gifts to clients as an incentive when they do business with you?

If you do, do you give something that will last a long time and will create a good impression of you?

I hope so.

A good idea is to give something that will actually benefit your buyer.

Something like a  $25.00 Savings Bond or perhaps a $25.00 Gift Card to Home Depot or even Wal-Mart.  A Savings Bond will last for years and will be worth more to your prospects the longer they hold on to it. And they will remember you every time they think about it.  It's good for our Country too.

A Gift Card is always a great idea.  Everyone has things they must buy to outfit that new house.  Light bulbs, curtain rods, shower curtains, shelf liner, cleaning supplies etc.  The list is virtually endless.  Your new home owner will love you for thinking of all those little things they didn't.  Believe me when I tell you that client will sing your praises from the roof tops to all their friends.  At least one of those friends will want to buy a house sooner or later.  Just think!  You'll be able to make another sale and it only cost you $25.00 and gained you a whole lot of Good Will.

Don't ever forget!  Life is a Journey!  Open the window and enjoy the breeze.

Technically speaking any gift no matter what dollar value is called inducing.  Inducing is illegal.  With that being said every Realtor under the sun does it.  My take on giving a gift is, everyone is different and likes different things.  One person may like a gift card to Home Depot and another may love a facial at a day spa.  I think it is important to be creative.

Lately I have been giving beautiful throws embroidered with a short, "Welcome to your new home" and my name. They are beautiful and have gotten rave reviews from everyone. Check it out. (this is not my company, I just love them)
