We hope to get out to Montana one day and be able to enjoy these beautiful views too.
Very Nice Gerry, Heard the hunting is awsome out there as well ! We have nice Sunsets here in the Florida Keys as well, Just missin the snow!
Lee & Carol,
Once you visit Montana once, you will likely want to come back and visit again.
Gerry ~ Montana is a beautiful state. I have visited Big Sky & Bozeman and I was tempted to stay :)
Guy,
Lots of good hunting and fishing opportunities. I am sure you have plenty of beautiful sunsets in the Florida keys. Make sure to share them at the Spectacular Sunsets & Sunrises group here on AR.
Melinda,
A few more visits and you will be even more tempted to stay. I moved to Montana to stay after 4 visits to the area. :) Make sure to check out Red Lodge and Yellowstone National Park (only 69 miles from Red Lodge) the next time you visit Montana.
Gerry, Classic beauties - Both those photos! I didn't realize that you were that close to Jellystone National Park:-) Lucky you!
Myrl,
I took my dad, my brother and my nieces there earlier this year (when they visited Montana) and they all loved it! My brother who normally does not take too many photos was amazed at the number of photos he took at the Park (the most ever in one day!).
Wow....when can I go? I love the north. I love winters. Just so awesome, quiet and romantic!
Hi Gerry - A very nice Christmas Eve sunset. Santa was probably too busy to see it at that time but now he can see it while he recovers from his extremely busy day.
What does your brother think is a large number of photos?
Gerry,
The horses in the sunrise photo give it a sense of timeliness. Beautiful!
Mike in Tucson
Larry,
Any time you wish! Thank you for the great display of exuberance and winter holiday cheers!
Marc,
Santa could see this one after he delivered all the toys the night before. I think you go confused with the sister post. This sunset was on the night of Christmas (the sister post was the one featuring the Christmas Eve sunset).
Any time my brother takes over 10 photos in one day would be considered a lot of pictures. When we went to Yellowstone National Park, I am estimating he took close to 300 photos in one single day!
Mike,
Thank you. You described it well. That is exactly the feeling I had when I saw the horses and thought it would be great to include them.
Diane,
Thank you. I was the Buyers' Agent for the house with these views. Till today, my friends are so happy and thrilled to be living where they live and in their dream house.
Gerry,
I loved both pictures, especially the sunset. Reminds me why I love winter scenes... it's the quiet serenity.
Mike,
We all need to be exposed to some quiet serenity from time ot time and my friends home setting offers just that. Thank you for your positive feedback.
Gerry,
Sunsets are fascinating and captivating. I like these shots. Not a lot of color but such drama. :)
Steve
Steve,
Some time it is the colors and some other time it is less the colors and more the attention to some details that seems to capture the attention. :)
Those are very nice photos. I am a desert rat and can't imagine being there in the winter. :-)
Gerry-
You will have to stop making us jealous!! Your photos are absolutely beautiful and should be on advertising brochures.
Deborah,
Thank you for the positive feedback. Just trying to get you to imagine on your own little ranch in Montana some day. :)
Doreen,
Thank you. One can always put on more clothes when necessary if it gets cold. :) But I understand that not every likes it with lots of snow in winter.
That's not very nice removing the antlers from those two meese in that first photo.

Russel,
I can assure you that no animal was hut in the taking of the photo. I have not encountered any moose in Absarokee so far. Just mainly deer, sheep, cows and horses!
Thank you. that's beautiful
