How cool is that!! How do they look up close? Years ago, I was in a 4 Wheel Drive club and we moved some of the floats for the Fiesta Bowl Parade every year. Some of them were cool and some were ugly up close. It was fun though!

Richard - It's amazing the amount of work involved and the number of volunteers to make it happen. Time flies when you are working on them, and then when your time is over for the day it feels like you didn't accomplish a thing.
Steve - We are fortunate to attend. This is our second year and hope to do it many more. Featured...WOW....how cool is that! Thanks!
Doreen - We were there before the added all the nice flowers and vegetation, and we only saw a few of the ones that will be in the parade as there are different warehouse locations in the Pasadena area, not sure if I would call them ugly...just works in progress.

These were actually the way they went to the parade. Yours is a little different situation with the flowers. These did not have flowers added. Some were just old and dirty.

Oh, someone in our club would tape the parade and we would watch it that night. (many of our club memebers would be inside the floats driving them. Not an easy task, I tried it once.) What always amazed me was how pretty it looked on TV. It was just so fun to know what was going on behind the scenes and watch it knowing which float had someone we knew inside.

Patricia - I belong to the Kiwanis Club of Menifee, some of us along with the Kiwanis Club of Temecula and about 40 key club members (our High School Sponsored Youth) spent the day working on several of the floats. The Kiwanis has a float in the parade every year.
Doreen - it is fun to see the behind the scenes and then watch it on t.v. to see if you can see the work you did..lol.

Ellie - It's almost as fun to watch those in charge coordinate the volunteers and make job assignments, much like someone in the military would do. This is a terrific parade.
Kathy - We are lucky, we also watched from the comforts of home the day of the parade, but it was fun to be able to work on them again this year.
