Snow day in the White Mountains...bring it on, Lincoln New Hampshire.

Most people don't really wish for snow after Christmas...But in the ski resorts this is a crucial week for our economy and as luck would have it...today it's White Gold falling from the sky's.

The Pemigewasset river at the south Mountain Bridge...Loon Ski Resort is over the river and through the Woods next to Grandmother's ski Chalet.

Top of the South Mountain side of Loon's ski trails...this is the view from Cruiser, the mountain in the distant center is the back side of Cannon (state owned ski resort) Mountain...in the Franconia Notch State park.

Lafayette, Lincoln, & Little Haystack mountains on the Left and center is Mount Liberty...views from my Kitchen window...a little new snow makes the view, much nicer.

Sunrise in the Notch...before the snow started It will look different on the way home tonight...A snow day in Lincoln New Hampshire is something we look forward to this time of year. Keep the White Stuff Coming!

I'm certainly not too big on cold weather, but your photos have me wishing for snow! Absolutely gorgeous area, You capture it well. No Doubt snow is important to a ski resort area...just like sunshine is to us here on the beach. Wishing you a Happy New Year with lots of snow!

So many of your photographs look like post cards. Of course, I think I'd have to visit your neck of the woods in summer. Today it only got to 47 and I just can't get warm even though I have a fire. But still, I find myself a bit envious that you live admist such beauty. And your posts always make me want to go and explore the woods and go up stream to the falls on one of our creeks that feeds into the lake. So how far from home do you have to venture to find these spots... your deck perhaps?

Steve, Those ski slopes can make or break the economy...and a leg or two! HA! I used to work at Alpine Valley Ski Resort in WI....Chicago's playland. The chalet's and settings are always beautiful...and even more so when the business is thick! I hope your season continues to be a strong one. Your photos are beautiful. This time of year, our NC mountains are beautiful, as you can see all the homes that typically hide deep within them. We were there today. Peaceful...snow.
