Old City is one of the hottest areas of Philadelphia right now.  Many commercial lofts have been converted into living spaces, reminiscent of Soho in New York City.  There are many wonderful restaurants and bars in the neighborhood to choose from.

On the first friday evening of every month, all the art galleries open their doors and invite everyone to venture in (hence the name "First Friday").  Many of the galleries offer wine and cheese, or other edibles (and potables).  It creates a festive atmosphere, and the whole neighborhood is vibrant with activity.

Old City also features the charming houses of Elfreth's Alley, the country's oldest continuously inhabited residential street.  Taking a walk down that street is like taking a walk back in time!

There are many beautiful, tree-lined streets in Old City, one of them being Cherry Street.  If you're considering living in Old City, take a look at this:

306-08 Cherry Street, #300

The master bedroom has a large walk-in closet. There is a washer/dryer in the unit. The owner is leaving two flat-screen televisions, a surround sound system, and five speakers!! !
