I am ready for a new year. I've had some personl loses this year the greatest one is my mom. I only mention this to say: I look forward to reading posts on AR for encouragement. The new year is fresh and exactly that "new". I know my mom is with the Lord and now I must focus on what 2010 holds. I have had to put alot on hold and my focus was on my mom. I know there are others out there who have gone thru exactly this. AR has been such a help to me. The knowledge and wisdom that is out there is soo helpful and useful. I wish all out there a Happy New Year. A year filled with peace and joy and health, and happiness and rewards! Karen

Like you, I too am looking forward to the new year. So sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother, I remember the feeling of loss myself yet I'm at peace with the experience.

Hi Karen - Condolences on the loss of your mom. Losing your mom is the toughest. I lost mine, then my sister, then my dad, all in a short period, and although that was several years ago, I still have my veery emotional moments.
We have some personal challenges for 2010 as my mother-in-law is sliding further into Alzheimers, but I feel that the economy is improving and that 2010 will be a successful year, which will also permit me to take the time necessary to help with her. Happy New Year!
