The Constitution of the United States of America and The Berlin Wall

By

I have a copy of the Constitution of the United States. A friend and fellow agent found this passage. We the informed People WILL BE HEARD!

US Constitution, Article II, Section. 4. "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on impeachment for, and Conviction of Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and misdemeanors.

It seems to me that if we can get a majority in Congress in 2010, we can get the rest of the corruption out this way! Isn't that ENCOURAGING! If you don't believe it can happen, check out this article.

TEAR DOWN THIS WALL

Suppose that I had asked you, in the mid-1980s, what you thought it would take to bring down the Berlin Wall? What would you have said? I can imagine the answer. Perhaps another world war. Perhaps some kind of multilateral, long-term rapprochement between East and West Germany. At the very least, some kind of intervention costing many billions of dollars.Certainly that's the kind of scenario that was envisioned by allof the world's so-called experts on Eastern Europe. When it came to predicting the life span of the Solviet Bloc, the CIA, State Department, and the Pentagon did not think in terms of months or even years. They thought in terms of decades.

But what actually happened? In September 1989, a small group of dissidents in Leipzig, East Germany, held a protest rally -- and for reasons no one quite understands -- the local police did not shut it down. The next day, in the next town over, another group of dissidents held a protest of their own, and it was a little bigger this time because they were emboldened by what happened in Leipzig. The police in that town didn't stop the protesters because, after seeing what happened in Leipzig, they thought that maybe they weren't supposed to do anything. The day after that, there was still anotherprotest in the next town over -- a little bit bigger than the last, the polie a little more passive -- and on and on. All through East Germany, the protests got bigger and bigger and the police grew more and more passive until a million people gathered in the streets of East Berlin in October 1989 and tore down the Berlin Wall as the police sat and watched.

This was the biggest change any of us will probably ever see in our lifetime. It took a month, it cost nothing, and it started with a handfull of people in a town no one would ever have pegged as the birthplace of a revolution.

Remember that the next time someone says, "It can't be done."

The article above was taken from the book The Big MOO edited by Seth Godin and published by Penguin Books. Incidentally Seth Godin is my favorite author. Check out The Purple Cow, The Dip, and Tribes. I believe his books are especially applicable to those of us in the Real Estate Industry.

My ultimate goal is to GET THE CORRUPTION Out of Government.

John,

I whole-heartedly agree! And I'll go a step further...  I want some open hearings on the FairTax, followed by either party ( does not matter which) taking up the banner and passing this monumental legislation...

John- I also pray that the same can be done in Iran by the people protesting there.

I lived in Germany while the wall was up. I wrote a post about some of that experience. My father was Naval Intelligence work smuggling spies back and forth across the wall. IT was scary times to live right there in Berlin. My brother was there for the tearing down of the wall and brought me back pieces of the wall. I posted some great video of how the people moved across the border. Actually in Berlin, it was the West Berliners that walked across to East Berlin first. It was an old lady who was not allowed to walk across that made the soldiers let them walk over. It is amazing video. You can search for them on youtube. The stories are amazing. The orders were to not shoot but also to not allow the people to cross, then it became if you go to the west we won't let you back home, then it was only those with passports and as you watch it unfold- the solders just could not bring themselves to stop thousands and thousands of people. They were people too. They disobeyed their orders and opened the gates. Not one person killed during this event. Katerina

I have been talking about throwing out all in Washington.  They don't get the fact they are spending our money.

Without us, there is no them. We know it, but they forget it.
