Taking a Cue from the Dog

Now that Christmas is behind us, we can focus our attention on the coming New Years Eve celebration. I think there will be alittle extra celebration in my world this year as this year more than others I am happy to put behind me. This one was a doosey, a real humdinger. Not one for the record books mind you, but more along the lines of a nine year old swallowing medicine. That was AWFUL, but at least it is over and done with.

My hopes for this coming year are pretty lofty, well I really don't think it could be much worse, (maybe I shouldn't have said that), but really, even if you had a pretty good year, all we heard about from the press was how bad things are.

I think I will take my cue from dog for this year. He has a great life, concentrates on eating, sleeping, and getting attention from mom and dad. He has a pretty simple philosophy on life, my bellies full, mom and dad are home, I am taking a nap....lifes good. He doesn't worry himself with time management skills, SEO, getting points on AR, closing a never ending short sale.

I think this New Years Day I will take his advice and kick back and watch alittle football...

Gerry, I love to walk my dog for the same reason.  He takes delight in the same thing every day.  He likes to pee on every street sign and fire hydrant, he frolics along in front of me, happy as a lark, cavorting here and there, stopping to say hello to other dogs.  He is very in the moment and very happy just to be.

Think of the years you could add to your life if you reduced the stress!  The dog has the right idea!
