Snowed In

I woke this morning only to find that we are snowed in today.  The city is blanketed with a beautiful white.  The trees are frosted and the roads are frozen.  It is a good day for a book, snuggie, hot apple cider, and a fire in the fireplace.  All of the neighborhood children are out playing in the snow.  We have the perfect sledding hill here in front of our home.  It gets quite a long run.

As you can see we are buried here.  It is beginning to defrost, but I won't be going any where today!   This is the bench in our back yard.  the bench goes up to our knee caps and the snow is all the way up to the base!  It should melt off by tomorrow or the next day if we don't get any more snow!

I enjoy the snow.  I would rather watch the snow fall than the rain.  Last year we had a white Christmas.  We missed Christmas by 4 days this year.  Still just as enjoyable!

I am off to the kitchen to make some butter cookies.  Hope all of you have a great day and if your in our area, stay warm and be safe!

We didn't get that much snow, but it was enough to snarl traffic and cause a lot of problems!  Enjoy the fire and the cookies!

Tony and Darcy,

Well, most of the snow is gone and it is raining again.  We hope you had a great New Year.  The cookies were great.  Unfortunately, they don't last very long!!

Hi Diane,

My wife loves the snow.  She is like a little girl in a candy store when it starts snowing!  Yes, it is very relaxing to watch.  We are lucky enough to live in an area that gets snow every year.  My wife grew up on a mountian so she has grown up with snow.  I came from the sunshine state and was more acustom to beach weather.  I have grown to like the snow, but I really don't like to be cold.  As long as I don't have to go out to much I am good.  I do like to sled with my boys when it snows.  We come in to hot chocolate and goodies!  Hope you had a great New Year!
