Vina Del Mar is an island community located in the southern part of St. Pete Beach to the east of Pass-a-Grille Beach. It is believed that the island was named after the Chilean city of Vina Del Mar which is referred to as vines by the sea, vineyard by the sea and also gardens by the sea.
The area consists of approximately 350 single family homes built primarily in the 1950's and 1960's. A majority of the homes are waterfront. There are canal front homes as well as homes with open water views.
The square footage of the homes range from 874 square feet to 8391 square feet with the predominant size being in the 1500 to 2000 square foot range. A majority of the homes are located on lots that are less than ¼ of an acre.
