GHOST IMAGE?

By

I am a new Active Rain{er}...I love photography and would like to reach out to others to  help with technical issues.

I shot some pictures in an old upstate New York cemetery on the 4th of July~I downloaded them to my ghost imagecomputer and saw these white blurry spots~if anyone out there can help to identify the cause, it could help me to avoid future ghost images.

Karen, is that spooky!  Though they are probably from the camera or something, white circles sometimes appear on photos that are called in Parapsychology "ORBS."  It is spirit energy!  I don't know anything about photography but interesting that these showed in a cemetary.....

Thanks for the comment,Carole...none of the  other 80 pictures  from that photo session showed the same psychic  phenomena  so I gathered that the camera was fine.  I use a CANON Power Shot G6. Send me any more thoughts.

Howdy Karen

They are souls of military Veterans. In the cemetery.

I am not saying this to be funny. It's what I believe. I have seen this happen before in cemeterys that veterans are in them.

Have a good one

Hi Karen -

I've seen these spheres before in my pictures.  I've not photographed anything from a cemetery.  I couldn't explain what they were then, nor can I explain what they are now.

Karen, it could be dust or pollen as well. Or maybe moisture if it was a humid day?  I believe in the orb theory too, but it's good to try to prove otherwise before jumping to the orb conclusion. :)

Karen - I have taken photos with sunspots before, but never anything like that. I wonder of Kelly is right? It does almost look like pollen, or something that blew on your lens and off seconds later.

I get spots similar to these when there is too much light.

It could be something on your lens.  You would know if the spots are in the same place in the next shot, but my guess is that they are rain droplets which are bouncing the light from the flash back at the camera.  A couple years ago it snowed here (the first time in 109 years) so everyone was excited and wanted to get photos of snow falling in deep South Texas.  When the flash fired, it lit up the snowflakes which were falling in front of the camera and produced the same effect you see here.  I have also seen this happen with dust particles bouncing the light from the flash back into the lens.

Karen - I have quite a few photos like this. Questions, was it raining? Were there bugs around when you took the photo?  If there were no bugs, no sun light, and it wasn't sprinkling/ raining these spots could very well be paranormal.
