We had about the same amount of snow.  It was about 2 feet at my home in Northern Virginia. However, our daytime temp quickly got up to in the 40s every day and it's now about gone.

We got another inch or so yesterday a.m. but that's gone too.

Laura - Snow removal is a big operation, my brother works that department in my home state of Connecticut. These workers deserve a lot of credit for all the overtime they do to keep our streets safe!

Laura...Areas like yours are not equipted for that kind of a snow.  Our last storm we got 16 inches over 3 days.  Because i have a plow on my truck, the neighbors kept me busy during it.  The extra cash came in handy also!

We have to shut down the city for half an inch of snow, so I would hate to see what a real snow storm would do to us.
