What day of the week is it anyway? Muddling through the holiday confusion.

Christmas and New Year’s Day fell on Friday this year which has led to quite a bit of “day” confusion. As a result of back-to-back four day weekends, my internal colander is in complete disarray.

Is today Saturday or Sunday? Was yesterday Friday or Saturday? Are the banks opened or closed? Does the mail run today?

Is the mortgage payment due? What about the credit cards? It seems that holiday torpor has taken its grasp and there has been a hibernation in which time seems to have stood still, but in reality it has not.

Wow, I am running behind. I sure have a lot of catching up to do!

It is a bit confusing, particularly the mail delivery.

I guess I should not be surprised to see that you are a painter as well as a photographer. It is a lovely painting. Is it water color?

That painting is interesting because I was at work, and was teaching a friend's grandson about watercolor. The lesson lasted about ten minutes and the painting above was the result of my "demonstration!" Thanks for noticing.

I was/am confused about what day it is too. In fact, sitting here at my computer where a calender belongs on the wall to my left is just space. My desk calender is still on December because I have not taken the time to move my #'s and notes to the new page yet. I have so much work to do as the end of the year brings tax stuff and I procrastinate that stuff until the cows come home.
