Is ActiveRain Helping the Real Estate Industry? You Bet It Is!

Real Estate Agent with Solutions Real Estate CA DRE #01490977

We all know that ActiveRain is an amazing social networking venue focused on the real estate industry. With 169,296 members as I write this, ActiveRain is an incredible voice in the real estate, and social networking, world, with significant power to influence change.

Is ActiveRain helping the real estate industry? You bet it is! Here are just a few ways.

AR provides a forum for:

Real estate agents/brokers, staging professionals, mortgage brokers, inspectors, title professionals and others in the industry to share ideas and learn from each other. Consumers benefit through their own increased education, as well as benefiting from more knowledgeable real estate professionals. Learning the realities of short sales and foreclosures, and the local markets is just one example.

 ActiveRain is the BEST!

Greater transparency in the real estate industry so consumers, and other RE practitioners gain a better understanding of some of the truths about this business - the good, the bad and the ugly. And it encourages those who are not so obvious to be more transparent in their business practices.

ActiveRain is the BEST!

Exposing wrongful things that happen in this business - mortgage fraud, unethical real estate business practices, real estate scams around short sales and rentals, unscrupulous web site providers and lead generators, and so much more.

  • Will the government listen?
  • Will brokerages and mortgage companies?
  • Will the media?

Who knows? Some of us have had media opportunities or have gotten asked to speak publicly on various issues. So folks and bad practices are being brought to light. And the public is learning!

ActiveRain is the BEST!

Encouraging and inspiring real estate practitioners to improve the way in which they do business with consumers, which benefits everyone. New training can be developed, and new technology can be used to better help consumers with their transactions and enhance communication among the parties to a transaction.

ActiveRain is the BEST!

Growing our respective real estate businesses so we can better serve our buyer and seller clients. Consumers needing help can find it, either locally or in their relocations.

ActiveRain is the BEST!

Providing a platform for consumers, if they choose, to participate in conversations, ask questions, obtain assistance and advice, and share their opinions (good or bad).

ActiveRain is the BEST!

Indeed, I believe ActiveRain is playing an active role is helping to change the perception that many have of our industry. There is no doubt this forum provides an invaluable educational resource and vehicle for communication among real estate practitioners, and a means to influence out industry for the better.

I'm proud to be part of this process and to benefit in so many ways from participating.

How do YOU see ActiveRain helping our industry???

I do see the ways ActiveRain is helping the real estate profession. That alone makes it worthwhile. AR also helps my family because of the increased business I've had!

It always amazes me to see how much Active Rain has grown. When I joined in 2006 there were 9,000 members with probably only a few hundred active folks.  Now look at it! Wow.

Ted - No arguments here.

Russell - I agree. Many are missing out on a terrific opportunity and likely would have a lot to contrbute as well.

Bruce - AR IS a force to be reckoned with IMO.

Jane - good point. I often talk about AR in mine in terms of the on-line marketing and exposure given the amount of traffic they get monthly.

Gary - and you are one of the active ones who makes a tremendous contribution here.

Tom - welll said.
