I've had alot of agents ask me about Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, ActiveRain and other Social Media sites because they know I am using all of them.

My comment to them is this, "If you are not using some of them in marketing your business, you are going to miss out on the next wave of marketing and consequently business."

Are you using the social media sites that are out there? Which ones are you using? More importantly, what is your gameplan for using them?

A friend of mine, Mike Mueller, who is big time into Facebook, wrote a blog on 5 Reasons Every Agent Needs a Facebook Page. Go to his site and check it out and I think you'll be glad you did iin 2010.

Thanks Steve, I have a facebook page and am on Twitter, but don't use either of them actively. I've just been linking my blogs to them. But I think it's time to make more use of these social network sites.

You are welcome Gary and thank you for your comment. I think connecting the dots is a big key in this social media thing and Mike Mueller is a good contact to help.

Another thing you could do is to attend a real estate barcamp. Here you will meet other Realtors who are actively working it! Here is the link to the real estate Barcamps.
