Yes, the Real Estate Business is just like a good football game. It's up and down and the key is finding your stride You can move the ball up and down the field but you has to score when you get in the red zone. In the real estate business you have to score a contract when the client is ready. I've seen a lot of agent who could not close on the client. Likewise I've seen a lot football teams unable to score in red zone. You've got to score and close when you are in position to do so or in football terms when you are in the Red Zone.
A good Real Estate office needs a Broker/Manager just like a Good Football teams need a Quarterback. Then you've got to build a team around that quarterback. No matter how good the Quarterback without good surrounding players the team will not meet their full potential. A real Estate Office is the same way if you don't surround your Manager/Broker with good agents the office will not meet their goals.
Just remember what ever is happening in the game now does not mean that will be the end result. Sometimes you've got to change the game plan from pass to run. The same thing is ture in a real estate office what is happening in the Market Today will not determine how successful you can be this year. The only thing that will determine that is your ability to change during the course of the year and take advantage of what's happening in the market. Sometimes you need to be marketing to buyers and sometimes to seller. The message needs to change from time to time just like the offense has to change depending on what the other team is doing. Look around and see what other offices are doing and doing it different!
