The community of Lake Ridge in Prince William County has been popular with buyers since it was first developed in the 1970's. With two large community centers, 5 swimming pools, boat ramp and tennis courts the recreation opportunities abound in the area. When Lake Ridge was under development in the late 1970's builders took great care to leave the rolling hills and trees that make Lake Ridge such a pleasant place to live today.
Even though traffic going north on I-95 during the week can sometimes be jammed the area is full of commuter lots for residents to grab a direct bus into multiple points in the city, the Belmont Bay VRE station is close by and Northern Virginia's Slug lines are all over the area.
Sales remained steady for the month of June. Detached homes prices are down about 11% over a comparable time period in 2006, however that percentage has remained steady since the beginning of the year.
