Pet Baths For The Home...Why Not!

By
Real Estate Agent with Coco, Early & Associates

Having a dog that I've bathed at home (leaning over the side of the tub which is a back breaker) I was ecstatic when a "doggie wash" became part of the neighborhood!

I never had considered having one installed in my home...but, it sounds like a possibility in my future home!   I know of many people who have the same feeling about their "pets"...they are a member of the family.  For some of my friends, these pets are their children and who wouldn't provide a bath for their child!

I'm sold!

I have managed multi-million $$ properties with pet bath areas off the garage AND a visitor pet area with sleeping pad and water/food dishes.

I have the LARGE black dog washing tub on my deck that allows me to wash off dogs after they walk in the mud along side our rural Keswick road.

Thanks for sharing. We do have a pet bath in our basement. Not as fancy as the one in your picture. Best wishes for continued success. Have an outstanding year!

I found a more effecient way of doing this:

Jump in the tub and wash the dog with me!

My boxer loves it!

Welcome pet lover good to meet you. I have enough room in my shower to place a stool and I have one of those shower heads on a wand. 1 dog my back is ok but if I wash 2 dog it is a bit much.

What will they think of next?  Doggie pedicures?  We have it all, don't we?

I market a lot of new construction and I have never had any one inquire about having a pet bath...but, I know several of my clients that would have loved to have had this option!  A new "option" to put out there!

Donna, this is a great idea. Everything is contained in one area. Thanks.

We have a pet pig and this is sounding like a great idea to me! Dogs tend to get in the tub on their own, pigs not so much, they don't have the ability to get up that high. So you have to lift them and they can be real heavy and not always willing to help.

Todd, I had not considered the pet pig...should have though, my brother had one years ago!

Donna - I have only seen ONE and I happened to sell it too. Funny thing, the new owners were not all that fond of it. Of course they didn't have dogs. Perhaps they would have appreciated it more if they did. My husband usually gives our two dogs baths and I'm sure he wouldn't mind giving them a bath in a tub like that.

Judy, it would be a "owner preference", but I love the idea of not having to go to the Dog Wash!  LOL
