(This big guy was beginning to yawn).

I recently visited Big Cat Rescue at 12802 Easy Street in Tampa, Florida.  What a great visit!  The tour was guided by an extremely knowledgeable volunteer.  These cats are gorgeous.  And BCR's own Scott Lope was just named Animal Planet's HERO OF THE YEAR.  That's big, folks.  Congratulations to Scott!

There were so many cats - white tigers, ligers, ocelots, and lions who really roared.  It would be so educational to take your children on one of these tours.  They could learn about the difference between sanctuaries and zoos and the exotic animal crisis in our world.

For more information, visit their web page at http://www.bigcatrescue.org.  I HIGHLY recommend a visit.

Thanks for sharing your Big Cat experience!  it is mostly through word-of-mouth advertising that these cats are fed and sheltered.

Carole, my pleasure.  I was blown away by how you guys take care of these sweeties.  It is a wonderful thing that you do!
