Handy Search Engine Tools - SEOmoz.org Page Strength

As I start to put together a case study of Cherron Collins web site, homeinfocenter.org, mentioned in the comments of one of my previous posts, I thought I'd share a tool that I found useful, SEOmoz.org's Page Strength Tool.

Everyone has heard of Google's PageRank, but what about Page Strength?

SEOmoz.org's Page Strength Tool gives a multi-faceted view of your domain.  As their web site states, the Page Strength Tool tells you:

  • The Relative Importance/Visibility of a Webpage
  • The Potential Strength/Ability of a Page to Rank in the Search Engines
  • Data on Popularity, Links & Mentions of the Page Across the Web

In short, SEOmoz claims that, "The tool is designed to satisfy the curiosity of webmasters, surfers and web marketing professionals seeking a better metric to quickly assess a site/page's relative importance and visibility."

The site does a good job of explaining all of the factors used to determine the Page Strength.  However, if you need something explained, just comment here, and I'm sure someone will have an answer.  Or we'll ask the good folks at SEOmoz.org directly if nobody here knows.

FREEBIE! Check out http://www.seomoz.org/articles/search-ranking-factors.php for a great overview of what influences a sites rank on the major search engines.

NOTE:  I am not affiliated with SEOmoz.org in any way.  I just stumbled upon this tool and thought everyone here would find it of value.
