New School to be Built in Addison, Texas: Public Meeting Announced.
The second opportunity for citizens to learn more about the Dallas Independent School District's (DISD) George H. W. Bush Elementary School will be January 21, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Construction is about to begin(first quarter of 2010). The site for the new school is on the southeast corner of DISD's Loos Field property on Spring Valley Road in Addison.
The January 21st meeting will provide an update on:
- the design,
- construction schedule,
- selection of school administration,
- community involvement in the future PTA
- an opportunity for the public to dialogue with representatives of DISD and the architectural firm designing the school.
DISD School Trustee, District 1, Dr. Edwin Flores, also plans to attend the meeting.

This will be the first public school in Addison, Texas since the old Addison schoolhouse on Belt Line Road. That facility is now The Magic Time Machine restaurant.
