Virtual REBar Camp.....

Darcy and I each participated in the virtual REBar camp today, what a great experience! It is at least 3 hours in any direction for us to participate in a camp like this, so having it online was great. I really enjoyed learning from great teachers like Jay Thompson, the Phoenix Real Estate Guy. There were so many others, but his class on blogging was just outstanding!

The only mistake that we made was that we went to the office to listen to/participate in the camp, and there are a lot of distractions that take place in an office setting! Other than that, I can see why everyone raves about REbar camps, they are great! I can only imagine what a live setting would be like! It was a great experience and I thank those who put it on. I can honestly say, let's do it again, and real soon!

I enjoyed the REBar Event today too. I listened in when I could, as you say the office offers way too many distractions but I did get to hear a great presentation on FACEBOOK which concentrated on the new privacy settings and our personal site vs a FAN Page. I thought it was a terrific learning experience but didn't compare unfortunately to being fully immersed in the event in a person to person event. I attended an event in Boston this past year and met a good number of great contacts as well as a learning experience which would have cost hundreds of dollars somewhere else for FREE!

What a deal, all this education and no cost, a win win situation for us!

Marybeth: The one that dealt with Facebook, was the one that I was interrupted during, I caught bits and pieces of it, but I missed a lot of it. I agree this is a great opportunity for us to learn and have our questions answered. I really would like to attend a live session.

Jim: It was great, it had a lot of really good information, I wish that we would have dedicated the time to listen to and participate in the classes. Being at the office there were interruptions and phone calls, too much stuff missed. I didn't hear when the next Virtual REBar camp is. I will listen to it when it comes up if I am able, great training!

I caught parts of the day as well. Tough to not do some work. It was very worthwhile.

Especially the content on future office arrangements....suggesting that working from home is the future.
