Loan Modification help!!

We finally have some help on the Loan Modification front.
Starting Friday there is a new law that requires any company that provides a loan modification service be licensed or face a fine.

There have been way to many attorney and non-attorney owned loan modification companies popping up and taking advantage of people who entrust them with their money and hope. They take upfront fees and have dozens of sub standard people working just pencil pushing with no result in sight. There is virtually no communication on their behalf other than faxing some documents which the borrower can do themselves. You should never pay upfront fees!!!

I know we are all looking for any help we can get, especially from an attorney that can help you keep your home but trust me these people are vultures. I know so many people who have been taken advantage of. They are renting little boiler room suites and herding them in and out like cattle with the hopes of help. They gladly take what little money you have with out a second thought. They usually require one month's payment or a minimum of usually $1500 or so. 

I am glad to see this new law for the consumer.
