July 4th in Flower Mound, Rain or Shine!

By

So Summer in Texas is FINALLY here. The rains have ceased, at least the torrential downpours that we have been getting. My kids were gone for 2 weeks and Matt and I couldn't wait for them to come home so that we could celebrate the 4th like every other American Family, cookouts, swimming, parades, fireworks.

We set out anyway and by the time we arrived it had started to sprinkle - no big deal... We brought the umbrella's and set out for the line-up. We weren't the only ones... the crowds came and despite the downpour - everyone had a great time! Besides what's a little water anyway?

We enjoyed a cookout with some friends, the children flower mound july 4th paradewent swimming, and we watched the fireworks at Flower Mound High School.

All in all, a great day...everyone was in spirit - and now SUMMER is officially here, we have been spared 100 degree heat, but I'm sure it's just days away!
