Check your Sewer Cleanouts

By
Real Estate Agent with Atlantic & Pacific Real Estate

The City of Highland Village is experiencing very high flows into our sanitary sewer system due to the persistent rains and rising lake levels.

The Public Works staff is encountering a number of homeswith sanitary sewer clean-outs that do not have a cap or where the cap is broken. Normally this is a moderate problem but now as the lake rises and covers these openings into our sewer system, it is a major problem.

The city has lift stations that are pumping at capacity in some areas due to this problem. Please help in locating the problem clean-outs. If you see any on your property or surrounding properties, please contact (972) 317-2989. We are asking your assistance in locating these problem clean-outs. Please check your clean-out location and verify that the cap is on if it is visible.  Please replace the cap if it is off or broken. If your clean-out area is under water, check to see if you notice a vortex of water or persistent bubbling in its location.

You can also visit the City of Highland Village for more information.
