It's Beginning to Look A lot Like Tax Time

Dear Active Rain,

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but when the New Year rolls in I start thinking about taxes!  I know I have a few months, but I dread the monotony of compiling the paperwork for taxes.  I'd like to preface this post by saying that I keep all of my receipts, document my mileage, and use tax software to compile my expenses.  That is the nature of my problem!  I have been using Quicken for the last three years to help me speed up the process.  Inevitably, I end up spending a day or two putting it all together to present to my accountant.  I am interested in what you all are using to help to keep track of expenses and your business.  Is there anything more Real Estate related that you recommend?

Love,

Surrounded by receipts.

I don't have anything to offer except a YIKES! I hate to think about getting my stuff together. I have an excel program that I use to put all my expenses in, but I don't keep up with it and end up putting it all in at once. I hope there will be some good ideas expressed.
