I'm proud to announce Wells Fargo was Awarded"Best of the Best" by Olive Tree Publishing!
It's always nice to work for a company that makes an effort to ensure there's a diverce group of employees within their organization. Last year, I participated in a training event sponsored by Wells Fargo that really emphasized diversity in management. As an Asian American, I was very happy to meet other multi-ethnic leaders in the organization that were being groomed to move further up the corporate ladder.
Today, I found out Wells Fargo was given an award by Olive Tree Publishing for "Best of the Best" in career oppurtunities for minorities! I'm so proud to be a part of this organization and wanted to spread the word about this part of Wells Fargo that's not talked about very often. Here's an excerpt of the letter from the President and Founder of the Olive Tree publishing to Wells Fargo. Her name is Mona Lisa Faris.

Dear Honoree:
Olive Tree Publishing, Inc., proud publishers of the Black EOE Journal, Hispanic Network Magazine, and Professional Woman's Magazine is pleased to announce that Wells Fargo has been selected and will be recognized in our publication's 2009 "Best of the Best" Annual Review Series. The annual evaluation, now in its 18th year sets the standard for identifying corporations that are providing the best career opportunities for minorities and is the most respected evaluation of corporate America's career advancement opportunities for minorities.
This year, more than 900 of the most prominent corporations in the United States were included in the extensive search. Our publications gathered data and performed extensive non-biased studies in the areas of diversity employment, supplier diversity, and corporations by industry (financial institutions, auto makers, retailers, etc.), and education. The studies include the evaluation of data from independent research organizations, market research reports, public information, 10-K annual reports, survey responses, interviews, and the OTP Research Division. (For more information, please see the Annual Review Methodology Summary for 2009).
