Hi Liz.  The first thought I had was that of a hot spring like around the Yellowstone area, but I imagine it is a nice little pond deciding whether to freeze or remain water.  I like the tranquility presented with your picture.

Liz ---- what a great job with this photo -- it is simply beautiful, but glad that we don't have that snow.

Very interesting photo Liz. Did you photoshop it to get that glow? Hope you're feeling better and enjoying the snow outside.

Hello Liz and this is a very interesting photograph and how were you able to get the gold color in the top of the photograph?

Did you use a special tinted lens for this capture?  It looks good either way... Thanks for sharing

Hi Liz - I always try to guess the photo based on the title. Today I was expecting Golden Retrievers. Nice color in this pic!

Thanks for all the comments :-)  I did amp up the glow - it was subtle and i took it up a notch :-) It's a small lake with a portion of it at one end still unfrozen :-) it's close to my place :-)

Liz:

One of those peaceful snow pictures while the snow is still white and clean.  I moved from a cold climate to a warm climate and love it here in Texas.  The snow gets dirty and stays around too long in Illinois.
