Why is it easier to share accomplishments or achievements then failures and mistakes?

Services for Real Estate Pros with Mold Doctor

I get into this mindset where if I don't have some great event, insight or accomplishment I don't feel like sharing or blogging! I think that real people only want to hear about great achievements or knowledge! Who wants to be bothered with some loser complaining about a missed opportunity or a costly mistake!

Why should I write when everything is going wrong or business is off and I can't put my finger on it? Well here's the catch...REAL people do want to hear about mistakes, failures and downturns... I know I want to hear about some bends in the road ahead and pitfalls that can be avoided! And REAL people do want to share their experience, strength and hope on situations that baffle and challenge!

This is where I get my greatest source of strength! From the feedback and caring comments that real people just like you take the time and care enough to help a fellow person and assist in allowing someone to benefit from their own mistakes and failures! So go ahead and blog your pain or missteps or past and present failures! You may be helping someone beyond what you realize and you will defiantly be helping yourself.

Only the Best,

Tom Re

I agree Tom.  I also find it harder to be creative and blog when things are down or when I have made a "mistake", but I know that by talking about those things it shows that I am real.  Good blog topic.

I had a comment ready but it flew out of my head when I saw your picture.  Holy smokes Tom!  Mental head slap... okay, I'm back.  (folks, we are friends, so I can get away with this!).

I always tell my kids to learn all they can from the mistakes of others, because they won't have time to make them all themselves!  I love to learn what people learn if they make a mistake.   I write what I am feeling.  Most of my posts have nothing at all to do with real estate.  Some of the localism posts do, but mostly, it's something that makes me happy, or unhappy, that I need to share.  Being transparent can be a bad thing at times, but mostly, because I am so transparent, I think it allows people to really get to know me.  And if they know me and like and respect me, they will want to do business with me or refer business to me.

Susan, As usual your input is so appreciated and valued! Your my activerain rock!

Jared and Amanda I agree that when I'm zapped it's hard to be creative! I noticed that some of my less creative blogs are better received and I gain great feedback from great folks like you!
