Wow!  My mouth just dropped open.  This is a good one.  Well, not really.  Sorry.  I think the important lesson here, which was news to me, is the part about the sprinklers being on a separate water line.  As I always say, I learn something new every time I login to AR.  Hope this all works out for you.

I am so sorry for all involved. And to think that the word on the street is that the problems with getting short sales approved by the banks have been fixed... those of us us living in the real world are not too surprised by your unfortunate tale. It is very sad.

My goodness, what a story!  You should show BOFA this blog especially the part where they will lose more money because the house is now damaged.

I never knew sprinklers inside the home have a separate water system, this is good information to pass on to homeowners so that they can be aware of the potential damage.

I just wrote a blog last night that addressed winterization & burst pipes. I never would have known that inside sprinkler systems were on a different water line!

What a disaster...all the way around!

B of A is so slow, but if anyone knows of one that answers faster please share.  You are right, there is something terribly wrong with our system of short sale and foreclosure negotiations.  One might wonder if banks are really interested in selling properties on their books.  Certainly does not seem like they are in most cases.

This is a tragedy and certainly a disaster.  Thanks for sharing.
