The Real Estate Market in 2010

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Signature Partners

The current real estate market in West Cobb County is beginning to see some improvements as it relates to the amount of foreclosure inventory being flushed out.  Resales are beginning to see some movement.  Though this seems to demonstrate the beginning of a potential recovery sometime in the relatively near future; it is fair to say the recovery will be a long one.  Sellers have begun to price homes correctly at the initial point of listing which will result in resale inventory starting to see some movement.

The first time homebuyer and existing homeowner tax credit deadlines are approaching.  First time home buyers are eligible for an $8,000 tax credit and existing home owners are eligible for a $6,500 tax credit.  There are guidelines to qualify but they are fairly liberal.  There are 2 deadlines to keep in mind as it relates to the two tax credit incentives.  You must be under contract by April 30th, 2010 and you must close by June 30, 2010.  No exceptions.

I hope you find this information helpful!   Have a great day!  It's Team Towler Time!!

Welcome to Active Rain Kim . Congratulations on joining the game here.

We joined AR  primarily to use the outside blog feature combined with Localism..... which has definitely helped us get better page placement on Google searches within subdivisions and neighborhoods. Worth checking out.

A side benefit of AR is the ability to learn from other agent's social media creativity and make friends for future referrals. One good way to learn to use AR fast, is to read the blog posts of the AR staff and the "Ambassadors". Good stuff in here.

Peace, and Success in the New Year,
