Please join the Parker Police Department on Aug. 7 from 7 to 10 p.m. in celebrating the 24th annual National Night Out, a community and neighborhood celebration incorporating block parties, cookouts, walks and many other activities. Neighborhoods around town will leave on a porch light in an effort to meet neighbors and strengthen neighborhood spirit, prevent crime and build police-fire-community partnerships.
Individuals and neighborhoods don't need to register to participate in National Night Out. However, you can receive additional benefits, activity ideas and promotional items by registering your event at http://www.nationalnightout.org/. If you would like Parker Police or Parker Fire representatives at your event, call Officer McKnight at 303.841.9800 no later than July 14.
Last year, over 34 million people from around the nation participated in National Night Out. This year, even more communities have agreed to turn a porch light on and celebrate this holiday. Call your neighbors and plan your event today!
For more information, please call Sara Walla at 303.841.0353 or visit http://www.nationalnightout.org/.
