Farmville's Friends of the Public Library had a very nice "exploratory" meeting tonight in the Davis Room. Several board member and the public discussed ways to make the Friends Group better.
Various ideas came out of the meeting. Mrs. Minnie Lee Winborn thought of a wonderful fundraiser. We are going to explore selling Christmas trees this year! Farmville has not had a place to purchase trees in a number of years. Those could be preordered or purchased for sale. More information on this will be coming soon! How great would it be to have a fresh tree from the North Carolina mountains.
