Dust off your Book Of Business

By
Real Estate Agent with Mini Enterprise, LLC

and start calling!  Opportunity is knocking, all you have to do is open up that Book of Business and call your past clients, your friends and ask for a referral.

As an office, our Broker had us commit to an hour of prospecting today between 7pm-8pm.  Although I had committed to being at the office, I wasn't able to make it in. A commitment is a commitment so I made the calls from the comfort of my home in my robe.  I called 17 past clients, church members and even got the nerve to calling FSBOs.

I got 3 leads out of calling my youngest daughter's Kindergarten friend's mom (My daughter is in Middle school now)!  she gave me 3 solid leads! (2 of which being "my neighbors are looking to sell!)

Calling FSBO's at first was nerve -wrecking but after the second call, it was a piece of cake until the FSBO that eats his young came on the phone.. "Realtors are liars and I won't give my money away to any liars" is what he told me.  I politely said, "Would it be okay for me to mail some information to you"? His reply, "Don't send me anything. If you do, I will personally come by and give it right back to you"! What a great way to meet him in person! :)

My Buyer lead came from a church member who is looking to buy short sale, investment property for CASH! up to $200,000!

If an hour of prospecting can produce 4 solid leads, imagine what five hours in a week can do?

It's time to get back to the basics! Pick up the phone and call! What's the worst they can say? NO?

Hi Mini. It seems like it is always a good time to go back to the basics. Sometimes we get so busy trying to find the new and better way to get the job done,we over look the old method of face to face and person to person which always gets the job done.

Great job Mimi,

It takes nerve the first time you do anything unfamiliar, but once you get past that it isn't bad, especially when you get great results.  I sense you'll have some more great posts coming from this experience as you move forward with your new leads.  Best of luck!
