The Value of Partnership

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Central Delaware

I originally thought that groups was not the best avenue for me.  I thought they were just a way for someone to make money off a person.  I recently joined a group (The Graham Group).  This group is awesome! It is good when you are busy with another client and you have another client that has to get in to see that house because it is there "dream home," when you can call on group partner and they can take you client to the home without trying to steal your client.

With partners we help each other keep up on current real estate trends, continuing education, lead follow-up, encouragement, and a host of things that if I would list them all I will fill the page.  The one thing that is unique about this group is that there is no competition or overpriced antics to get you to give a portion of your commision during each settlement.  Your portion goes to what it is intended to go (i.e. advertising, continuing education) without the excess sitting in somebody's pocket.

The true value in partnership is helping one another reach there full potential by using joint resources to accomplish the task, so there is no lack.  With partnership success should imminent or already in progress.

My thought for you to ponder: Are you connected with the right partner?   Maybe it's time to find some good partners or switch to a winning team

Mason,

Thanks for the post. Excellent point about partners. I am with ERA and our call to action is "TeamERA". Fortunately for me, my office operates like one big partnership. I have been with the company 24 years and most of the agents have long tenures as well. We have become family and work very much like one. That is not to say there are no differences, we have our share. But the Broker/Owner helps us work through the differences, like most matriarchs. Truly the burden is lessened when the load can be shared!

In "Think and Grow Rich", Napolean Hill talks about the value of being part of what he calls a Mastermind Group.  Most successful people are successful precisely because they leverage the talents and abilities of multiple team players.  Good post, Mason.
