Great way to help your community in 2010: Foster a Foreclosure Pet

All of us have been impacted by the huge number of foreclosures-- and there's another huge group which has been really hurt by this, and they have no voice in this--- dogs and cats. Because when a person loses their home, a pet loses their home too. The shelters are overflowing and the private rescue groups have their hands full, too. I volunteer with Labrador Rescuers and foster dogs which have been rescued from kill facilities, where they only have 72 hours. Right now I am fostering Bingo, and he's a total lovebug. He's somewhere between 2-3 years old, and has the whitest teeth you've ever seen -- I call them "Hollywood" teeth.

Bingo has lots of friends who are looking for their forever home, too. You can meet them here:

If you would open up your heart and your home to a foster dog, you'd be making a huge difference to a pet and their new family. For info on Lab Rescue and volunteering, go to

Barb...what a great idea; am sure that Bingo & his sparkling teeth will do more for 'foreclosed' pets than any shelter-newsletter; " a photo being worth a 1,000 words" is so right, isn't it.
Barb, did you mean to have the rest of post as HTML? or was the intent to view a YouTube video.
