Will you be in line for the new iPhone Nano?

There is a report today that Apple will be releasing an iPhone based on the iPod Nano, it will have the same form factor and have a circular control dial similar to the Nano. This information is based on patent documents files by Apple on July 5th. Here is a link to the complete story:

Apple iPhone Nano

For those of you interested in this piece of technology but did not jump on the iPhone bandwagon, Is this something that will appeal to you? If you could get this phone on another carrier would you make the move?

Just wondering...

Interesting, do you think they'll make a iPhone clip, like the ultra-mini iPods?  My sister-in-law is working as an intern for Apple this summer and was disappointed that when they announced employees were getting free iPhones, interns were only getting 25% off (25% off a $600 phone is still $450 for a phone!)

There is a big market for iPod accessories, I am sure the iPhone will enjoy the same 3rd party accessory market.

I'll be in line for one, but after the price comes down. I love how much the new ones can do! You have internet, video, audio, games and oh yea... it's a phone too... LOL All in one unit that you can carry around with you, how awesome is that?

Imagine having a video of a walk-through you can carry in your hand and show anyone at any time.  Internet access to keep up with your mail and sites, and blog here on the rain! LOL...

Sharon, I hope you don't have to wait long for your iPhone. The reports I have seen on MSNBC and Bloomberg indicate that Apple has no need to lower the price any thime soon, They are selling out ofevery one they can manufacture. With an exclusive agreement with AT&T they are in a good position to take advantage of a captive market. I believe that is why they are considering a NANO type of iPhone, of course with such a small screen and the circular controller it will be very limited with regards to internet connectivity.

I guess we will all be waiting to see if Apple will continue to have success with what appears to be a line of iPhone styles.

That sounds great, but I'm not sure I could do much typing on it if the pad got any smaller. Guess we'll be waiting in suspense to see how this one will turn out.

Shelly and others, It seems that Apple is denying the existence of any type of device, Instead the new rumor is that there will be a new version of the iPod, this time with the type of interface that the iPhone has, without the internet and phone features. It is also claimed that the new iPod will have WiFi.
