Of all financing obtained, VA was the most popular with 50% more than FHA. This is due to the enormous increase in homes being built in Fort Mitchell. Fort Mitchell is just outside the west entrance of Fort Benning making it a very convenient location for military to reside. We have seen an increase of military families moving to the area due to the Base Realignment and Closings (BRAC) in which many bases around the country are closing. While many are closing, Fort Benning is expanding at a rapid pace.
