As you see in the charts below the average sales price was pretty flat all year throughout 2009, but way down from 2007. The volume, the sheer number of homes selling in Marin has been pretty sluggish as well. However, we did have a small year-end rally. :)
December closings are typically fewer than most other times of year, but in 2009 December was actually on of two "high" months for the year.
You can literally see when the free money stopped flowing in September 2007. I am optimistic that 2010 will be better than 2009.
