Just released today, the new Realtor.com app for the iPhone seems like a sure hit! It is elegant, yet simple. Designed for Realtors, it answers the question buyers often ask - "how much is THAT one?" when out seeing homes... It is updated every 15 minutes, although I wonder about the latency between a listing being entered and being uploaded to R.com servers (that in the past has sometimes taken 12+ hours). And the best part? Like many very cool apps, it's FREE. I would guess that many non-Realtors will download it, so it was good to see the agent info prominently displayed with each listing, including single click-to-call functionality. I like Near Buy, but I believe I'll like this even better!

I'll have to check it out. The mobile market sure is saturated. Will be interesting to see if any site does a better job than others within the mobile market. I have an app, but have not been pleased with the results. It's neat idea, displays all the homes, then no matter what listing it is, when the user clicks to talk to an agent you get the call. So far, no calls.
I'll be comparing realtor.com's app to zillow and home.com

There must still be some bugs with the REALTOR.com app because many of the homes are being listed on the app with 0 Baths. I double checked some of my personal listings and one of my listings with 4.5 baths shows ZERO baths. Looks like REALTOR.com needs some fine tuning.

Another flaw in their system is in the price search. It won't be very clear for some consumers how they can search for homes that are priced below $100,000. The trick is to select "ANY" as the bottom price and $100,000 as the top price. My initial thought was that any price would give me all the listings but it appears to be any price below the maximum.

Sounds like another good app for the consumer. I've downloaded many of the Real Estate, iPhone apps and nothing can beat our local, wireless, MLS mobile app (Paragon). When I'm out in the field with my clients, I have the ability to log in to our MLS and get all the current details about the home. It's free to the agents and I couldn't imagine leaving home without it!
