Tennis in St. George Utah

With Wimbledon finished, and tennis fans looking toward the hard court season ending with the
U.S. Open in FlushinTonaquint Tennis Complexg Meadow, I thought I'd advertise the great tennis facilities in St. George.

Tonaquint Park, run by the city of St. George Leisure Services Dept., has 16 courts, 8 lighted, plenty of parking, and a small concessionaire selling cold drinks. The USTA holds classes there, and a local pro, Jason Worthington, not only teaches all levels, but also organizes doubles league play.

Other public facilities include Dixie College, and several local parks: Cox Park Tennis Courts 900 E 1000 S Saint George, UT; Larkspur Park Tennis Courts 600 E Fort Pierce Drive Saint George, UT; Santa Clara Park Tennis Courts 1400 Canyon View Drive Santa Clara, UT; Vernon Worthen Park Tennis Courts 400 E 200 S Saint George, UT.

The Summit Athletic Club offers a Tennis Academy with professional instruction and ongoing clinics for all ages. Wayne Bullock is Head Pro. It is a world-class facility, and non-members can play for a $5 day pass.

The Vic Braden Tennis College is located in Green Valley and offers instruction to non-members as well as guests at the Green Valley Spa. Their classes are unique in the area, because they offer Dartfish Video Analysis of your strokes, and 4 indoor climate-controlled courts for the hot summer months.  Vic Braden Tennis College

Being able to play tennis year 'round is one more reason St. George attracts active outdoor enthusiasts. Contact me for information on the facilities, or homes located in complexes that have community courts. There are several, for example Sunriver and Stone Cliff. I can provide you with a complete relocation package on the area. See you on the courts!
