It's a new year, a new decade, and a good time to review the changes in the USA's real estate related dynamics.
Some of us like to look back and reflect on the positive changes...others like to see what not to repeat in the future. A recent article in the Real Estate News, A Decade of Dramatic Developments provides an interesting synopsis of a few of the changes. Here's some of the highlights.
At the Start of the 21st century - THEN vs NOW
THEN 37% of buyers used the Internet in their home search
NOW 90% of buyers are searching online
THEN married couples comprised 68% of all home purchases
NOW they represent only 60% of buyers
THEN 46% of home sales were in suburban neighborhoods
NOW 54% are in the suburbs
What hasn't changed, is the FACT that REALTORS® are equipped with all the latest tools to make real estate transactions smooth and successful.
