We are blessed

Services for Real Estate Pros with Sharon Lee's Virtual Assistance

Hi Everyone-In light of the very recent earthquake in Haiti I thought this would be quite appropriate. I am glad to be a part of an organization that was a buzz with activity yesterday getting ready to send supplies to Haiti. We are collecting supplies outside a local store today from 4-7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday at Sam's Club and then next week as well. Take time today to be thankful for all your blessings.

  • If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million people who will not survive the week.

  • If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 500 million people around the world.

  • If you attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, or torture of death, you are more blessed than almost three billion people in the world.

  • If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.

  • If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish some place, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

  • If your parents are still married and alive, you are very rare, even in the United States.

  • If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority of us can, but most do not.

  • If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read anything at all.

  • When you compare our day to day problems with bigger problems around the world our troubles may not seem so large.

SHaron, very timely post!  We all need to keep things in perspective....I always say,no matter how bad things are, there is always someone out there who is much worse off than ourselves.  We are so spoiled!

We all have things that we must deal with in our lives - -       but we need to step back and look at the big pictures - -  don't get drug down by the drama - - there is always someone else that has it much worse.  I always find a positive in any bad situation.

Hi Sharon - With the sad news out of Haiti - this is a timely post. A good time to count our blessings, and be thinking of what we can do to help.

Retired and loving life

Thank you everybody for the support-I got some catching up to do with everybody once I catch my breath from the double duty again. I am back to work for a little bit anyways. 3 days that I am sure of but I never know. Got to work tomorrow and most likely Saturday for a few hours and then Monday I am sure of because of our collections at the local stores for supplies for Haiti. Thank you all for your friendship and support. <SMILE>
