NEW YORK—A town house dubbed New York City's skinniest house has sold for $2.1 million. The red, 9 1/2 foot wide, 42 foot long brick building in Greenwich Village was built in 1873 on land used as an alley between homes. The town house was listed for sale last August at $2.7 million. The two bedroom, two bath home last sold in 2000 for $1.6 million.
If this was located in a small town I used to visit as a kid, where my Grandparents lived, Steele MO. It might not sell for more than 20,000. As I have said in the past location is everything. Make sure you know where you are located in price against the competition. The location of your furniture can make or break a sale. If it is in the way your house will not show well and will not sell. The location of your mind set is also important, are you willing to work with a buyer to make a deal happen.
There is not much you can do about the location of your home but You can locate your price to a location where it will sell. You can locate your furnishing so it help show your house in the best light. You can locate your mind in reality so you can close a deal and get on with your life.
One of the things I hate to hear from a seller is "I don't want to give it away" If you where we would not need to sell it I'll will take.
If you need to sell do what the corrections officer told Paul Newman in "Cool hand Luke" Luke, You need to get your mind right.
