Paying it off

Real Estate Agent with Century21 Drue Self Real Estate

It has been a long eleven months. Long but very educating, very challenging, and very fun. It has been eleven months since I received my real estate license in New Mexico, and I have had 8 deals signed but none of them have closed. Finally though, I have a deal that appears to be bullet proof (crossing fingers so I don't jinx it)! It is coming from a good friend of mine, and he is as excited to buy his first house as I am to sell my first house.

Over the past year excitement about real estate has waned and flowed inside me. However, in large part due to  the encouragement of my fellow realtors® and even blog posts on ActiveRain, I was able to keep on pushing through the hard times. Many failures and literally slammed doors down the road, my confidence has somehow grown tremendously, my selling techniques are being perfected (and probably will always be a work in progress), and I am started to see income come in during a slow market. The quick thinking and communication skills necessary to sell a house have evolved inside me, and I am looking forward to a good future in real estate.

Thinking back on all that I have learned and experienced over the past year, I am starting to realize that I have barely scratched the surface of what all is out there. I want to say thank you to all the realtors® in my local area, and also those of you who write encouraging blogs and have posted comments on mine! Godspeed to all on our journey to success!
